i started basil on a cf level of 10 and some were ok but some of the seedlings developed mushy leafs and the leafs went squidgy and other leafes developed black marks. is 10 to 12 too high a cf level for basil. what are you refering to small plants as all plants are small at seedling stage

when he talks about compensating for the cf level of the tap water is he saying you need to add an extra cf level of 2 to you're nutrient solution. I.E for a cf level of 12 you would get you're go for a reading of 14 to make up for the dead salt reading of ordinary tap water

the plant grows faster and bigger bc it takes less energy to grow its roots (no soil to push thru) and more oxygen gets to the roots. |
